Holiday Cranberry Spritzers

Here’s a fun recipe my aunt created and sent to me. This is an excellent way to incorporate cranberry into your diet . UTIs are very common throughout pregnancy and postpartum - especially after a cesarean birth. ne of the ways to help prevent UTIs is cranberry juice! Cranberries have a magical combination of compounds that prevent bacteria from sticking to the bladder wall – which can help stop the UTI before it starts. They are also high in Vitamin C which great for your heart health, healing, and immunity.

Ingredients

  • Orange juice

  • Cranberry juice

  • Club soda

  • Cranberries

  • Sprig of Rosemary

  • 1 orange

  • Cloves

Fill drink shaker with ice, 1/4 cup orange juice, 3/4 cup cranberry juice (or to taste), splash of club soda (optional), shake and pour. To your glass pour the mixture, add a few cranberries (for decoration) and a sprig of rosemary.

For the second drink use the same shaker mixture, pour into glass. Slice and orange, slice in half, stab whole cloves into orange slice, twist orange slice and add to drink, add a few cranberries for decoration. For a stronger clove taste, premake (save club soda until you’re ready to serve) and let the clove filled orange infuse in the drink mixture for a day or two.
